Rutland, dated 24 Sept., 1652. Son Mathew £20. Son
Samuel my brasse clocke and Mr Perkins his works and
all my manuscripts. All the rest of my estate I
bequeath to my wife Elizabeth, intreating her to
provide for the rest of my children as God shall enable her.
Sole executrix: my wife; and I enjoin her to give £10
apiece to all my children at their marriages in
consideration of £100 given to my daughter Jorden
(being the legacy of my daughter Mary deceased),
which should have been divided amongst them. Witnesses:

thrown on the pedigree and connections of Matthew
Cradock, the first Governor of the Massachusetts
Company -- Richard, George and Thomas Cradock being
the uncles, and Samuel, Rector of Thistleton in
Rutland, the elder brother of the Governor. The will of
Matthew Cradock himself has been already printed.See
