I have just came upon your site and was facinated to find out I am related to the Mudd Family by way of Edward Carrico. I also have been trying to verify the father of Edward's father, Cornelius Carrico. I was born and raised in Springfield, Ky where they all lived. I knew quite a few of the Mudd's. One thing I found interesting concerning the possible father to Cornelius was that one of his grandson by way of Edward was named William Reason Carrico. Reason is the maiden name of the wife of Basil Carrico brother to James and Bartholomew. I wonder therefore if Cornelius could be the son of Basil? Basil did move to Washington County, Ky. before moving on to Shelby County, Ky. Just a thought for anyone who cares to comment. Look forward to hearing from anyone about the Carrico's, Dillehay's, Brewer's and O'Bryans.

I was doing a search to see what kinds of Mudd stuff I could pull up and there you were. I am the granddaughter of Richard Mudd. Richard Mudd has done a genealogy on the whole Mudd family, which includes all Mudds in the world that he has found to date. We are all related in some way. Richard Mudd is also the grandson of Samuel Alexander Mudd who is the doctor who took care of Booth's leg after shooting Lincoln at Ford's Theatre. He was subsequently imprisoned on Shark Island. Richard Mudd has worked his whole life to clear Sam Mudd's name and is about to turn 100 this month. Also, the mayor of Milwaukee, John Norquist, is married to a Susan Mudd. Further, Richard Mudd is a cousin of Roger Mudd, the newscaster. And as I said, we're all related so if you didn't already know, you are related to all of these people as well in one way or another. So anyway, I just thought I would say hello. Congratulations on your marriage!

Well, well, well... this site is strangely familar in the sense that we seem to know one of the parties involved. Yet, there seems to be something quite queer about it too. Such as life. I guess congratulations are in order. Hope that you and your family is healthy.

We've been researching my wifes Mudd roots. We have a copy of the Mudd Family Book by Richard Mudd. Lots of info on the mudds on the internet. We were in Virginia last week and drove up to Portobacco to see where they lived...Lots of Mudds still there. We have yet to find anything on Thomas Mudds parents. What is your linage to Thomas? Good to know that you are here. Questions about the family are raised all the time as I travel the country and meet new people. Many know of Dr. Sam and what to know if I'm related. Hopefully, you will be able to clear some of the mud in my mind about the ancestry. I've included this web site in my favorites. Please let me know that you have read this message. Thanks. P.S. Liz mudd in Chicago is Our daughter. Great Gal. My wife's name is Cecelia. We have six children. Three boys and tree girls. Jim Jr., Rob and Chris, Mary Kay, Elizabeth, Kathleen. See ya.

Greetings from Madrid. I'm a Mudd of English decent, born in Essex, where there are about another 50 Mudds if I'm not mistaken. Just saw this web page. I had thought about "registering" the mudd.org domain, but see you have beat me to it. Would it be possible to allow me to have a DNS entry for ea.mudd.org (the ea is the international IOS code for Spain, España in Spanish) thus allowing me to setup a mail server which could handle mail with the ea.mudd.org domain? I'm not sure if the person who reads this message understands the details of the DNS system. Please mail me if you can.
