Marr Memo"That Henry Mudd's wife was Elizabeth Lowe daughter of John Lowe is , strongly suggested by the fact that Elizabeth Mudd (daughter of Henry , Mudd) and her husband, Ignatius Simpson named their first son Henry , (spelled Henery in Ignatius Simpson's will) possibly after Henry Mudd , (AB) and their second son John Low, possibly after John Low(e) , supposed father of Elizabeth, wife of Henry Mudd. This is a , significant and surprising discovery., , Another reason that the wife of Henry Mudd appeared to be Elizabeth , Lowe, was that Major John Lowe in his will bequeathed to "daughter , Elizabeth Lowe, personalty"; and, on 5-30-1709 during the settlement , of his estate, Thomas Mudd (AA) accounted for the following: "Of , money paid Eliza Mudd, daughter of the said Major Lowe, in part of , her portion left her by her father in his last will and testemant as , per receipt appears . . . L35." Further, the wife of Henry Mudd , being Elizabeth Lowe accounts for the appearance of the name "
