1655: Whereas Lt. Richard Banks and Margarett his wife the late
Widow and Relict of Mr. Richard hatton, Deceased by thier Conveyance
or assignment of the first of Dec. 1652 for the Consideration therein
Expressed did assign and make over unto me, Thomas Hatton, Secretary
of this Province of Maryland, my Heirs and assigns for ever all right
and Title of Land within the said province any ways due to her the
said Margarett for the Transportation of herself, her Children and
Servants into this province, being 800 acres of Land.
Viz: the transportation of herself and William and Richard Hatton,
her sons, and Barbara, elizabeth, Mary, and Elinor Hatton her
daughters and John Peryn her Servant into this province in or aqbout
the year 1649. Known all Men by these presents that I the said
Thomas Hatton, for and in Consideration of the Naturall Love and
affections which I bear to the said William and Richard Hatton, my
Nephews, sons of the the said Margarett and other Considerations me
thereunto moving Do hereby Convey and make over unto them the said
William and Richard Hatton all my Right and Title to the lane before
me mentioned viz. five hundred acres thereof to and to the use of the
said William Hatton and his heirs and assigns forever and the other
three hundred acres of to and the use of the said Richard Hatton and
his heirs forever, I withenss Whereof I have hereunto sett my had

1 Mar 1649: Thomas Hatton claimed 800 acres of land for the
transportation of Margaret, his brother's widow, Margaret, and their
six children, William, Richard, Barbara, Elizabeth, Mary & Eleanor.

Father, Matthew Hatton?
1649: Richard Hatton having died in1649 in England, the widow and
children came to the Province, it is said in 1649, the same year.
Certain it is that Eleanor was raised in the family of her Uncle
Thomas Hatton who was a member of the council. SOURCE: Across the
Years in Prince George's County, Some County and Allied Families , pg

Other Children: Barbara (m. Randolph Hanson, d. 1675); Mary;
William (d. aft. 1675) [1655: William received 500 acres of land
when Mr. Thomas Hatton named his sister in law, Margaret as the wife
of Lt. Richard Banks and the widow of the relict of Mr. Richard
Hatton deceased. At this time he conveyed the 800 acres, 500 acres
for his nephew, William and 300 acres for his nephew, Richard.
