(Wdsr VR Vol. MG; Col. 1, p. 58), m. 2) Mary BRONSON (her 4th) 16 March 1681/2, daughter of John and Frances (Hill) Bronson, bapt. 12 December 1627 Earl's Colne, d. after 1694. "He was taken into church membership at Windsor (from Dorchester) 18 June 1674; had previously taken the half way covenent for bapt. of his children, 28 February 1657. Bought property 1646, the Sammay's place at Windsor, and built thereon. This was probably the William Phelps place. He died 19 August 1690 Windsor, His will, reading as that of 'Samuel of Hatfield, Hampshire Co., MA.', dated 30 March 1690, gives to his son Samuel ho and homestead in Windsor and ld on E. Side of Connecticut River. Mentions wife, Mary; daughters, wife Joseph Griswold, wife Josiah Ellsworth; Sarah, wife John Alexander, to whom he gave est. in Hartford; daug. Abigial, wife Jos. Westcoate of Standford. The will describes some of the ld on E. Side Connecticut Riber as bd by ld of 'my cozin John Gaylord,' son of John, s of Dea.
