18 Apr. 1694: RICHARD GARDINER of Calvert Co., MD wrote his will on
15 Jan 1693 and probated on 18 Apr. 1694. RICHARD left to WILLIAM
WICKAM and THOMAS STONE and their heirs 230 acres (unnamed). RICHARD
also left to his sister, viz: JONE BENETT and MARY GARDNER, who was
living at WILLIAM SCOTT'S in Oxfordshire, England; to goddaughters,
ELIZABETH HALL and CIBBY JOWLES and to JAMES CROOK and to THOMAS
GOSLING, he left personalty. RICHARD left to his wife, MARGERY, the
executor and heirs, the residue of his estate, real and personal,
including 300 acres 'The Parthing Path', 80 acres 'The Garding Spot',
and 100 acres 'Hopewell' in St. Mary's Co., MD. The witnesses were
CHARLES ASHCOM, JAMES KEETH, LUKE GARDNER, & CHARLES CARLES.

1640: Richard Gardiner, Jr. was one of seven people whom Richard
Gardiner, Sr. demanded 600 acres of land 31 Mar 1640 for the
transportation of these people into Maryland. (SOURCE: Maryland
Patents, Liber 1, f. 62, Hall of Records, Annapolis, MD.)

27 Mar 1638: Richard Gardiner, Jr. gave in security in the amount
of 500 pounds of tobacco for his father when Richard, Sr. was
appointed administrator of the estate of John Brian. (SOURCE:
Proprietary Records, Liber Z. f. 54, Hall of Records, Annapolis, MD.)

1637: Richard Gardiner, Jr. was aged twenty one years old when he
was transported to Maryland by his father, Richard Gardiner, Sr.
Richard demanded land for the transportation of his wife & children

RICARD also name her as his wife. MARGERY was to receive the residue
